CHOCOLATE WOW!!



original recipe from Good Housejeeping Favorite Recipes

PREP: 20 minutes plus cooling; BAKE: 13 minutes per batch; MAKES: about 48 cookies.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup all purpose flour,
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa,
1 teaspoon baking powder,
1/4 teaspoon salt,
8 squares (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate, chopped,
1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick),
3/4 cup sugar,
2 large eggs,
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract,
2 cups pedans (8 ounces), chopped, ->
I used hazelnuts,
1 package (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup).

Method :

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degree Fahrenheit. Grease two large cookie sheets. In small bowl , combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In heavy 2-quart saucepan, melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring frequently, until smooth. Remove from heat; cool.
  3. In large bowl, with mixer at medium speed, beat sugar, and eggs until light and lemon colored, about two minutes, frequently scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Reduce speed to lo. Add cooled chocolate mixture, flour mixture, and vanilla; beat just until blended. Increase speed to medium; beat 2 minutes. WIth wooden spoon, stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
  4. Drop batter by rounded teaspoons , 2 inches apart, on prepared cookie sheets. With small metal spatula, spread batter into 2-inch rounds. Bake until tops are shiny and cracked, 13-15 minutes, rotating cookie sheets between upper and lower oven racks halfway through baking. Cool 10 minutes on cookie sheet on wire racks. With wide spatula, transfer cookies to racks to cool completely.
  5. Repeat woth remaining batter.

Tips:

Lemari pendingin menurutku sangat membantu dalam proses pembuatan cookie ini. Karena batter yang cenderung rada mbeleber/encer maka setelah di cetak diatas cookie sheets bila dibiarkan menunggu untuk di oven akan mbeleber kemana-mana. Alangkah lebih amannya bila sedang menunggu pemanggangan berikutnya dan sudah di cetak di cookie sheet, tunggulan di dalam lemari pendingin. Aku melakukannya demikian, and it's done. Berhasil, alhamdulillah.

SUGAR CHEESE COOKIES

Bahan:
150gr mentega
60gr gula halus
1kunig telur
200gr terigu
50gr maizena
200gr keju kraft parut (aku pake 180 gr aja, pas 1 kotak)

Untuk olesan :
1 putih telur
50gr gula pasir

Cara membuat:
  • Kocok mentega dan gula sampai putih , tambah kan kuning telur aduk rata.masukkan tepung terigu dan maizena , aduk rata dengan spatula.
  • Giling adonan setebal 1/2cm bentuk persegi panjang lalu taburi seluruhpermukaannya dengan keju parut, ratakan.
  • Gulung adonan dari kedua sisi hingga ke tengah, rapikan lalu potong setebal 1cm.
  • Olesi setiap sisi cookies dengan putih telur lalu gulingkan di atas gula pasir.
  • Susun dalam loyang lalu panggang hingga matang dengan suhu 130 derajat celcius.

Kalo aku, setelah adonan di gulung, olesi dengan putih telur, gulingkan ke gula, potong-potong. Baru setelah itu, tiap sisinya di gulingkan ke gula pasir tanpa telur.
